Minnesota Online Scorecard
There is a need for higher education constituents and policy makers to determine the productivity of distance education systems.  Increasingly questions are being asked;

  • Are students receving educations that represent the quality of the institutions they are attending?
  • Is online learning effective?
  • Are academically prepared students progressing through the distance education system to the point of graduation in a timely fashion?

The balanced scorecard is a critical summary of performance, it highlights financial measurements, customer, internal/business process, and learning and growth success.

The Minnesota State Colleges & Universities System-Level Accountability Framework outlines indictors and measurement categories for four strategic directions:

  • Access & Opportunity
  • Fully Integrate the System
  • Expand High Quality Learning Programs & Services
  • Community Development & Economic Vitality

The MnSCU Management Report web site contains reports and queries to assist in management and policy decisions for the Board of Trustees, System Office, and institutional managers. College, university and System Office personnel interested in data management including institutional research directors were/are consulted for the development of these reports. A drop down box in the Query Library provides information relating to distance education.
